Despite huge therapeutic advances in the treatment of autoimmune rheumatological diseases, some patients remain with persistent and stubbornly refractory diseases. Various clinical studies using MSC are ongoing worldwide and have shown good safety profiles as well as improved laboratory and clinical parameters in responder patients.
